Programs
At Pottsville Community Preschool, we offer a diverse range of programs for incoming children at our Service.
PRESCHOOL:
Our Preschool program is our 2-day program that occurs on Monday & Tuesday or Thursday & Friday 8:00am-3:30pm and welcomes children aged 3-5 years of age. Our team of educators set up rich learning experiences for children to learn and explore. Our program supports the Early Years Learning Framework and embodies its central idea of 'belonging, being and becoming'.

The educators develop your child's learning program by:
1. Identifying your child's strengths and interests through observing and engaging with them and speaking with your family.
2. Planning experiences, choosing teaching strategies and designing the environment to build on your child's skills, knowledge and understanding of the world.
3. Reflecting on, evaluating and documenting the learning outcomes for your child to inform future planning.
There are 40 children in each 2-day program and 6 educators.
Children doing a 2-day preschool program have the option of attending on a third day on a Wednesday for either Nature Explorers for Preschoolers, or Masterclass program.

It provides opportunities for children to develop skills in managing risks in a safe learning environment. Child-led investigations foster holistic child development – physical, mental, social and emotional, including growth of resilience, self-confidence, learning ability, concentration, and creativity.
