Please note that the NSW Fee Relief is not related to Child Care Subsidy (CCS).

E. Orientation:

I. ORIENTATION VISITS – Term 4, 2025:

It is important that incoming children feel comfortable in the Preschool environment before they commence school next year. Experiencing this environment for various days and at different times allows children to create a sense of belonging to their respective program.

Families are welcome to come to the Preschool building and have free play for short amounts of time. This is a parent guided experience. Please be mindful of the children who are already attending the Service on that day as educators' main focus will be attending to those children.

  • Period:

    • Weeks 2 - 8 / 20 October - 1 December 2025

  • Days:

    • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

    • 10:00 – 11:30am

You may visit as many days as you would like.

To ensure a smooth visit during our orientation sessions, please:

  1. Supervise your child at all times during the visit. Our preschool will be in operation, and educators will be engaged with our current preschoolers.

  2. Educators may not be able to engage in conversations or answer questions during working hours as they are focusing on the children in their care.

  3. We kindly ask families to limit their stay to a maximum of 30 minutes to avoid overcrowding and to ensure a comfortable experience for all.

No need to book-in; however, you will need to sign-in as a visitor in OWNA on our tablet in our foyer.

II. ORIENTATION WEEK - TERM 1, 2026:

Orientation Dates Term 1 2026

Parents are encouraged to attend the orientation sessions in Term 4, 2025 as this is a valuable opportunity to see the preschool in action, meet educators, and help children become familiar with the environment alongside their families. These visits also allow parents to understand our routines, learning spaces, and philosophy before the new year begins.

In Term 1, 2026, our orientation sessions are designed specifically for children. This time is important for educators to connect with each child individually and observe how they engage and interact with peers without the presence of parents. This helps us better understand each child’s needs, confidence levels, and social dynamics as they begin their preschool journey.
