Each term, our educators develop a Term Intent based on the EYLF. This helps guide the learning experiences, projects, and opportunities offered throughout the term, while remaining responsive to children's interests, strengths, and emerging skills.
Our daily routine is flexible and child-centred, allowing children long periods of uninterrupted play to explore, investigate, and learn at their own pace. Educators adapt experiences and routines to meet the needs of the group, with the program evolving throughout the year as children grow in confidence, independence, and
capability.
At the beginning of the year, we provide familiar resources, predictable routines, and
consistent learning environments to help children develop a strong sense of belonging
and feel secure in their new setting. As children become more confident, educators
introduce carefully planned experiences and provocations that encourage curiosity,
extend thinking, build resilience, and support children to take on new challenges and
explore beyond their comfort zone.
Through this balance of play, intentional teaching, and responsive planning, we aim to
create a rich and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

Service FAQ
What is the age group for your programs?
Our programs are designed for children aged 3 to 5 years, focusing on developmental milestones suitable for early learners.
What are the fees for the programs?
Please contact us for the current fee schedule and government funding options.
Do you provide meals for children?
No, meals are not included as part of your child's enrolment. It is up to families to provide a healthy lunch for their children that will last the entire day, including a water bottle.
Can children bring nuts and eggs as part of their lunch?
Our service is Nut Free, although our staff are trained in anaphylaxis management and first aid, we ask parents to avoid packing nut related foods (including nut butters) in children's lunch boxes.
Eggs are allowed.
Once my child turns 3, will they be eligible for a spot at your Service?
Yes, they will; however, please note that our Service is funded by the NSW Government therefore we are required to adhere to the Early Childhood Education and Care Priority of Access Guidelines.
These guidelines require services to give priority access to:
- Children who are at least 4 years old on or before the 31 July in that preschool year and not yet in compulsory schooling
- Children who are at least 3 years old on or before 31 July
- Children with a Health Care Card
- Children who are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- Children with a diagnosed disability
- Children who are at risk of significant harm (from a child protection perspective). (Please note: this includes families who are experiencing mental illness)
How many children can attend the Service each week?
Our Service is licenced to cater for 120 children across each of our 2-day Preschool and Nature Explorers programs, respectively.
Does my child have to be toilet trained?
We understand that each child develops at their own pace, especially with toilet training. For children who are not yet fully toilet trained, we will work with families in this regard.
My child is not immunised. Can they still attend your Service?
Every child enrolled at our service must be fully vaccinated, on a catch-up schedule, or have an exemption certificate from Medicare.
How does the settling-in process work?
We encourage orientation visits to help your child feel secure. Our educators work closely with families to ensure a gentle and supportive transition into our community.
How do you communicate with parents?
We use a dedicated app for daily updates, photos, and news. We also value face-to-face chats at drop-off and pickup to keep you informed about your child's day.
How does your programs support wellbeing?
We prioritise social-emotional learning, fostering resilience and kindness through play-based discovery and strong educator-child relationships.
Child Care Subsidy (CCS)
Child Care Subsidy (CCS) only applies to services/centres that receive Federal Funding (e.g. long day care centres or family daycare).
Our community Preschool is state funded and therefore we are not eligible for CCS.
We do not submit attendances to Centrelink.
